Event Planner

We are partnering with an established client based in San Francisco in their search for an Event Planner. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a Nonprofit that's dedicated to serving the San Francisco community. This position is a Contract to Hire role and will directly report to an Executive Director.

Pay: $25 - $28 (DOE)

Location: San Francisco

Work Type: Onsite

Projects:

  • Quarterly outreach event with 200-300 volunteers and multiple service providers
  • Minor daily and weekly outreach events
  • Responsibilities

  • Responsible for scheduling and coordinating with service providers
  • Main point of contact during planning and day of event
  • Design event layout, design maps & print collateral for all events, manage print deliverable timeline and ensure timely delivery
  • Created detailed schedules and timelines for the week of the event and day of event
  • Manage transportation logistics for attendees, providers, and volunteers
  • Vendor relations for organization routine and large scale events while coordinating with vendors and in-kind donor vendors to secure meals, water, and on-site restroom trailers
  • Responsible for set and support for IT infrastructure
  • Implement evaluation process, debriefs with staff
  • Salesforce build out and maintenance: data management for projects and service providers
  • Lead in-office admin volunteers: delegate tasks and ensure the quality of execution
  • Serve on internal workgroups as requested
  • Be available to work some evenings and weekends as needed and other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience with Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Enjoys collaborative work, operates effectively and positively in a team setting
  • Ability to respond quickly and use good judgment in unusual emergencies
  • Delivers written communications that have clarity and impact
  • Effective listener
  • Excellent attention to detail, multitasking skills, and time management
  • Able to occasionally lift, reach, and move objects up to 40 lbs
