Human Resources Specialist

LHH is seeking a Human Resources Specialist for a professional sports team based in San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid role, working on-site 3 days per week and remotely for the other 2. The Human Resources Specialist will mostly be assisting with leaves of absences and onboarding.

This role is currently contract (4-5 months) with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is a team player.

Responsibilities

Coordinating new team member’s onboarding (communication to internal stakeholders, ensuring completion of necessary paperwork, HR orientation to new team members, providing helpful resources, tools and introductions.)

Liaise between plan administrators and brokers to resolve issues

Serve as first point of contact for employee inquiries

Develop internal communication to effectively promote employee engagement and total wellness programs and enhance employee understanding

Manage content for internal communication platforms and Company LinkedIn

Maintain employee records and HRIS database; Ensure data accuracy

Assist with development and launch of special programs and projects that enhance employee engagement (i.e. Intranet, survey, wellness, perks etc.)

Participating in benefits tasks – claims resolutions, reconciling benefit statements, strategy meetings with the broker

Coordinating and acquiring perks and discounts for employees

Serve as backup to Receptionist as needed

Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or other related field

3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment

Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Outstanding Professionalism and ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality

Proactive and Resourceful, Good Judgement and Problem Solving skills

Experience using ADP, Greenhouse, Sterling Talent Solutions, Track Star, and/or Kronos a plus!

Employment Type - contract (4-5 months) with the possibility of extension

Hours: Full-time
