Job Posting: Compensation Analyst (Temp)
Location: Onsite in San Jose, CA
Pay Rate: $55/hour (DOE, up to $60/hour max)
Duration: 3 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Overview:
We are seeking a Compensation Analyst for a high-impact temporary assignment. This is a fully onsite role based in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, fast-moving, and ready to jump in immediately to support compensation operations. This is a pure compensation role — not HR generalist — ideal for someone with a background as a Comp Analyst, Comp Manager, or Compensation Specialist (not at the Director or Sr. Consultant level).
Key Responsibilities:
Administer existing equity compensation programs
Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure program success
Support preparation of Compensation Committee and Board meeting materials
Conduct benchmarking and pay evaluations for executives and senior management
Deliver analytics and insights to guide executive compensation decisions
Partner with Legal, Finance, Stock Admin, and HR teams to deliver compensation data and reports
Perform ad hoc analyses to enhance compensation processes and structure
Communicate compensation philosophy clearly to leaders and assist in cascading it across the organization
Requirements:
3–5+ years of direct compensation experience in a U.S. public company
Strong Excel skills and a passion for data-driven decisions
Strong understanding of compensation principles, job evaluations, market pricing, and incentive plans
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Comfortable operating independently and navigating ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field
Compensation certification or advanced degree a plus
Global compensation experience
Background in manufacturing, aviation, or international organizations is preferred
