LHH partnered with a collection services to recruit for a bilingual HR Generalist in San Jose, CA. An ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, fluent in Spanish, good knowledge of employment/labor laws, a team player, and has an approachable demeanor. This company values environmental hands, innovation, and safety. Salary: up to $72k DOE.

The type of experience we are looking for is someone who has had to verify eligibility, administer the process in house and understands the certain deadline and specific forms that also need to be provided. Also, someone who has had experience in navigating through different requests and has had to create and send out correspondence to employees and work with council as needed with different forms of leave. Leave of absence is not limited to just FMLA/PDL but we also need someone who is aware of the California specific rules and regulations as well and how they may or may not correlate with Federal regulations.

Your responsibilities are:

  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • You have:

  • Proven experience of 5+ years in Human Resources
  • BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) will be a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
