Do you have at least five years of accounting experience as a senior accountant with strong experience with fixed assets and ASC 842 accounting? Do you have experience using SAP or Oracle and working in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a tenured accounting professional to support a growing team for at least 9-months. Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Close Activities: Responsible for month-end close related activities including communication with other departments to ensure all information requirements and reporting deadlines are met with accuracy.
Fixed Assets Accounting: Review fixed asset transactions and schedules, prepare monthly fixed assets roll forward, and ensure fixed assets are accounted for consistent with the company’s fixed asset policy.
Lease Accounting: Prepare finance and operating lease entries, account reconciliations, flux analyses, and support SOX compliance activities for lease accounting.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide insights into financial trends and make recommendations for improvement.
General Ledger Maintenance: Manage and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring proper recording of financial transactions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on fixed assets and lease accounting.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, ASC 842, GAAP, and SOX compliance.
