Position: Math Test Administrator—Grades K–3 (Temporary, Sandusky, OH) Compensation: $25 per hour Details:



  • Hours: 25–30 hours per week, temporary


  • Location: Sandusky, OH


Scope of Work: An education-based nonprofit is looking to hire child assessors to administer math assessments to elementary school students in fall 2024 (approximately mid-September through mid-October), with potential opportunities for additional assessments in winter and spring.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct math assessments with elementary students in Sandusky City School District.


  • Follow all study procedures and supervisor feedback.


  • Complete required CITI Human Subjects Research training, assessment instrument training, and district screening processes (e.g., fingerprinting).


  • Perform data entry tasks, requiring internet access.


  • Bring a laptop (not an iPad) for assessments; a laptop can be provided if needed.


  • Handle testing materials and student information securely.


Qualifications:



  • Some college education required; a bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, child development, education, or a related field is preferred.


  • Experience working with children in educational or non-educational settings is preferred.


  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.


  • Professionalism in interactions with children, teachers, administrators, and colleagues.


  • Fluency in English.


  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable personal transportation.


  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.


  • Current CITI Social/Behavioral Human Subjects Research and Information Privacy and Security certification, or ability to complete certification before September 2024.


  • Availability for training in early September 2024 and for conducting assessments during regular school hours from September to October 2024.


Additional Information:



  • This is a temporary position with multiple openings.


  • Successful candidates will be compensated for training and assessment time, as well as associated research activities.


  • Travel mileage will be reimbursed.


  • Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
