Job Title: Benefits Administrator
Location: Seattle, WA
Position Type: Full-time, Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
Provide expert guidance and support to employees regarding benefits options, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
Coordinate and manage the annual open enrollment process, including preparing communication materials, updating systems, and conducting employee meetings.
Ensure the accuracy and compliance of benefits records in the HRIS, regularly auditing and updating data as necessary.
Act as the primary liaison between the company and benefits providers, resolving any issues related to claims, coverage, or service.
Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ACA.
Develop and deliver training sessions and educational materials to employees about benefits programs and changes.
Assist in the development and implementation of new benefits programs and policies, based on employee needs and industry trends.
Support the HR team with benefits-related projects, such as wellness initiatives and benefits plan evaluations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in benefits administration or a similar HR role.
In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulatory compliance requirements.
Proficient in HRIS and benefits management software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Discretion in handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
CEBS, PHR, or other relevant certification.
Experience with specific HRIS platforms such as Workday or ADP.
Previous experience in a mid-to-large sized organization.
