Patient Care Representative - Remote

LHH is seeking an experienced Patient Care Representative for a remote contracted position, this is a fast paced, highly visible healthcare organization that offers an excellent opportunity for growth. In this role the qualified individual is responsible for verifying established patient information to ensure accuracy and insurance information is correct and collect co-pay and amounts due if applicable.

Responsibilities:

· Enter demographics and other pertinent information into the digital system and ensure completion of all admission paperwork

· Verify insurance coverage, explain benefit information to patients and case managers, collect and process payments as applicable

· Identify patients’ needs, clarify information, research every issue, and provide solutions

· Answer incoming calls for intake patients as well as assist with overflow hunt groups as necessary

· Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly metrics and goals set by management

· Communicate effectively with other departments to present solutions to any patient concern

· Ensure work being performed meets internal and external compliance requirement

· Maintain confidentiality of all information; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulation

· Various clerical work including faxing, scanning, and copying

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED

· Must possess good written and verbal communication skills

· Typing and general clerical skills

· Excellent telephone skills

· Medical terminology

· One-year medical office experience preferred

Pay Range: $ 18.00 hourly
