LHH has partnered with a Pharmaceutical company in the KC Metro, they are looking to add to their team for a Accounts Payable Specialist.

The Accounts Payable Specialist ensures all invoices are received and processed in a timely manner. The position requires high volume input and processing of invoices. The role includes reaching out to vendors to obtain statements of account and reconciling them against processed invoices to identify missing invoices or credits that should be taken.

• Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, review purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.

• Communicating discrepancies between invoice and purchase orders to buyers and fixing issues to allow payment of invoices

• Working with Sr. Finance Analyst to fix coding issues and communicate to purchasing group

• Reconciling vendor statements of account to A/P to ensure all invoices have been processed, and available credits taken

• Providing aging to auditors and pulling requested samples

• Assist with explanations to auditor questions

• Identifying process flows not working efficiently, and working to change process to improve flow

• Other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

• BS in accounting or business-related field preferred

• Good knowledge of SAP A/P module

• Proven Experience entering high-volume A/P

• Basic understanding of cost accounting

• Have the ability concisely summarize and communicate issues to others

• Ability to work with others to improve A/P process

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records

Pay: $25 - $29/hr
