Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH is seeking a Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist in Southfield, Michigan. Qualified candidates will have at least four years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, handling all aspects of the AP process with international accounting experience preferred. For this position we are looking for a candidate who has AP experience from the manufacturing industry and can successfully manage all the Accounts Payable functions.

Responsibilities:

Full cycle Accounts Payable processing

Set up vendors

Manage 1099 process

Manage Sales and Use Tax accounts reconciliations and filings

Work closely with vendors including negotiating rates as needed

Qualifications:

4+ years’ experience in accounts payable

Manufacturing experience highly prefered

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Must have prior ERP system experience

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
