LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Operations Manager for an eCommerce retail brand located in St. Augustine, Florida. Ideal candidates will have experience working as an Operations Manager, working in eCommerce and start-up businesses, and previously worked in the manufacturing industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while balancing the responsibilities of business analysis, vendor, and risk management
  • Develop performance goals and objectives to ensure accuracy, quality, and customer expectations are met
  • Communicate policies to leaders and act as the primary information source for the leadership team, maintain compliance and consistency, and take corrective action when needed
  • Lead, guide, and direct the team to meet or exceed operational goals, monitor performance, provide coaching and counseling, and develop and use Key Performance Indicators to make improvements and enhancements
  • Lead and develop the team with a focus on motivating, mentoring, and coaching
  • Play a significant role in the long-term planning, project status reporting, and implement change control processes
  • Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily, weekly, monthly, and peak season labor schedules
  • Ensure records are maintained appropriately, and metrics are completed on time
  • Stay current on industry regulations, trends, and technology, and assess opportunities to improve processes and execution
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to help set daily and quarterly goals
  • Supports corporate and firm-wide training programs, reinforcing tech and operations infrastructure between departments to ensure consistency and quality standards are met
  • Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
  • Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other pertinent standards/regulations
  • Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals
  • Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment
  • Oversee and lead the organization’s daily operations
  • Manage and mentor the area managers in multiple departments
  • Implement the right processes and practices across various departments, including the warehouse, production, customer service, and facilities
  • Provide leadership and develop and implement operational policies and procedures
  • Formulate strategies, improve performance, procure materials and resources, and secure compliance
  • Ensure the company remains compliant, efficient, and profitable while aligning with company goals and values
  • Required Qualifications:

    Successful candidates will have a deep understanding of financial management, be ready to mentor team members, increase the quality of customer service, and implement best practices across all levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field
  • 3+ years of related experience in increasing responsibility in manufacturing, operations, and leadership positions
  • 3+ years of successful experience leading eCommerce start-up companies
  • Experience managing a textile printing facility preferred
  • Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience preferred
  • Excellent data analytics, data mining, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Extensive understanding of policy, planning, and strategies
  • Solid understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified is preferred
