Hybrid Accountant

Lee Hecht Harrison Recruitment Solutions (LHH) is partnering with a leading financial services firm to fill their open Hybrid Accountant position in St. Petersburg, FL. In this role, you are given the opportunity to work with a collaborative, growing and stable company. To qualify, you must possess at least 1 year of recent, relevant experience in a similar role. This is a six month CONTRACT job with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance and attendance. You must sit locally to St. Petersburg, FL. You will also be able to sign up for LHH's benefits programs during the time of the contract portion of this position.

Responsibilities:

Uses general ledger accounting software to assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and reports for internal use.

Prepares general ledger entries daily.

Reconciles balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accurate information.

Maintains policy and procedures manuals.

Prepares schedules and provides requested information for internal/external auditors.

Assists in preparing annual budget packages and/or cost allocations.

Performs accounting functions including billing, collection, and expense records.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of at least one (1) years’ experience in corporate accounting required.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel (vlook-ups, pivot tables) required.

Financial reporting experience required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Outstanding organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field highly preferred
