Purchasing Supervisor

Our client, a Non Profit Organization here in Syosset, NY, is looking for a Purchasing Supervisor. This individual will be supervising one coordinator and be very hands on with vendors, inventory and negotiations. The pay rate for this role will be between $25-30/hr, contingent on experience.

Responsibilities:

Negotiate with vendors

Place purchase orders for finished goods in multiple departments

Verify invoices are accurate

Coordinate with Accounts Payable

Monitor and update product inventory

Requirements:

Service oriented: This person should have some form of client/customer service AND Purchasing experience

Account/Finance experience/exposure

Communication: This person must have superb written and oral communication skills and have experience working with and negotiating with vendors
