Position: Medical Biller
Location: On-site in Tempe, AZ
Pay Rate: $21–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Type: Contract (with potential for extension)
About the Role:
As a Medical Biller, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. You’ll work closely with providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies
- Review and correct billing errors to ensure accuracy
- Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve denials
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing codes and payer requirements
- 1–2 years of medical billing experience (clinic or hospital setting preferred)
- Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Familiarity with EHR and billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification a plus
