Location: High Point, NC | Relocation Assistance Available | Base Salary: Up to \$175K + Discretionary Bonus
Are you a seasoned operations leader with deep roots in custom furniture manufacturing? Our client, a respected name in the high-end furniture industry, is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead their North Carolina-based facility. This is a rare opportunity to take full P&L ownership of a site and drive operational excellence in a collaborative, quality-focused environment.
We’re launching this search from the ground up—and we’re looking for a transformational leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership.
About the Role
As VP of Operations, you’ll oversee all aspects of manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, and product development. You’ll work closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability while fostering a culture of trust, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Full P&L Responsibility for a site of employees (including temps)
Lead and mentor department heads across manufacturing, scheduling, customer service, and product development
Drive operational strategy to improve efficiency, reduce backlog, and meet delivery targets
Collaborate with product development and sales teams to align production with market demand
Champion a culture of transparency, communication, and employee engagement
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
Travel out of state for initial training (1 week each); minimal travel thereafter
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree required (Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, or related field)
10+ years in furniture manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Proven ability to lead seasoned teams and build trust through communication and empathy
Strong business acumen with experience in sales, operations, and strategic planning
Hands-on leadership style—comfortable being present on the floor and engaging with employees
Experience managing change in a legacy environment with long-tenured staff
Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and decision-making skills
Compensation & Perks
Base Salary: Up to \$175,000 (depending on experience)
Bonus: Discretionary, based on company performance
Relocation Assistance: Lump sum available

Reporting Structure
Reports to: EVP of Operations
Direct Reports: Plant Manager, Director of Administration, Product Development Lead
Cross-functional collaboration with HR, Sales, and Executive Leadership
