LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist/Payroll professional to support the HR team of a well-established manufacturing company. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, and Generalist-level HR operations in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
· Type: Temporary (potential for hire)
· Location: Greater Jackson, TN area
· Compensation: $29-$35 per hour ($60,000-$72,000 annually)
· Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:00 AM–6:00 PM CST; occasional Fridays based on business needs
Responsibilities:
· Process weekly payroll using Kronos and Paylocity, including timecard review, shift differentials, direct deposits, and tax compliance
· Maintain and update employee data in HRIS; generate reports as needed
· Serve as the primary contact for payroll and benefits inquiries
· Administer benefit programs including enrollments, qualifying events, and invoice reconciliation
· Coordinate with third-party providers for FMLA, STD, and LTD benefits
· Manage leave administration, onboarding, exit interviews, and employee relations
· Support compensation updates, promotions, and backend data changes
· Assist employees with time logging and general HR support, especially those without computer access
· Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations
· Prepare verification of employment and bonus calculations
· Respond to unemployment claims and internal leave approvals
· Foster a positive work environment and support HR Business Partners with day-to-day operations
Qualifications:
· Experience with full-cycle payroll and benefits administration
· Proficiency in Kronos and Paylocity systems
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Must pass a 9-panel drug screen and 9-year background check
· PHR certification preferred but not required
