Location: Michigan (Multiple firm locations or remote flexibility available depending on candidate)
Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Are you a skilled Legal Assistant with experience in Trusts and Estates law? LHH is partnering with a leading law firm in Michigan to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to support a high-volume estate planning and probate practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare estate planning documents including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney

  • Assist attorneys with probate filings and trust administration in accordance with Michigan court procedures

  • Maintain organized case files, calendars, and critical deadlines

  • Communicate with clients, courts, and financial institutions with professionalism and discretion

  • Coordinate court filings and manage legal documentation

  • Assist with billing, time entries, and expense tracking


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in a Trusts & Estates practice

  • Knowledge of Michigan probate and estate planning laws

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice software

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
