Treasury Associate II
Job Summary

LHH is seeking a Treasury Associate II to join a dynamic, high-performing team responsible for handling financial transactions and cash movement across U.S. and Canadian operations. This role is well-suited for someone with a background in banking or finance who enjoys working with precision, thrives under structured procedures, and communicates effectively in a collaborative environment. Department: Treasury Accounting / Reports to: Treasury Supervisor/Manager Team Size: 9 onshore, 2 offshore (on-site daily)


Compensation: $24.50 per hour

Location: Urbandale, IA - Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday (5 days/week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, process, and reconcile premium spreadsheets, claim payments, unapplied premium returns, and miscellaneous transactions

  • Execute daily cash activities including bank deposit scanning, coding, releasing, and posting

  • Perform fund transfers through ACH, check, and wire, ensuring proper authorization and documentation

  • Apply GL coding for lockbox deposits and ensure compliance with accounting protocols

  • Research and resolve payment-related inquiries from internal clients across departments

  • Communicate and follow up with banks to investigate transactional issues or discrepancies

  • Support processing and exception handling for check stops, positive pay, and related Treasury controls

  • Organize and manage assigned tasks via Microsoft Outlook, maintaining timely communication and tracking deliverables

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support SOX compliance and audit readiness

  • Follow and uphold corporate policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with team members—both onshore and offshore—to ensure smooth operation and task coverage

  • Contribute to process improvements, suggest best practices, and share knowledge with junior team members


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 1–3 years’ experience in banking, finance, or treasury

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel)

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to stay focused, accurate, and efficient in high-volume workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian financial transactions and Treasury tools

  • Knowledge of SOX compliance standards and internal controls

  • Experience working in a structured team environment with hybrid team structures
