Accounts Payable Coordinator

Location: Somerset County, NJ
Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Job Summary:

We have an immediate opening for an AP Coordinator for our client in Somerset County, NJ This role is responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor setup and maintenance, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit card reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and timely

  • Review and verify invoice coding, approvals, and payment terms

  • Set up new vendors and maintain existing vendor records in the accounting system

  • Ensure compliance with W-9 and tax documentation requirements

  • Manage employee expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies

  • Reconcile and process corporate credit card transactions and statements

  • Prepare and post journal entries related to AP and credit card activity

  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly

  • Assist with month-end close and audit support as needed


Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in accounts payable

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills




Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
