Accounts Payable Coordinator
Location: Somerset County, NJ
Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Job Summary:
We have an immediate opening for an AP Coordinator for our client in Somerset County, NJ This role is responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor setup and maintenance, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate credit card reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and timely
Review and verify invoice coding, approvals, and payment terms
Set up new vendors and maintain existing vendor records in the accounting system
Ensure compliance with W-9 and tax documentation requirements
Manage employee expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies
Reconcile and process corporate credit card transactions and statements
Prepare and post journal entries related to AP and credit card activity
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly
Assist with month-end close and audit support as needed
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
4+ years of experience in accounts payable
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
