Project Associate

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive candidate to join a prestigious organization in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have some experience running projects independently. This position is a contract role slated to run for 6 months with the potential for this role to go permanent.

Responsibilities

Manage and direct project teams by providing communication, coordination, and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives

Ensure project scope or work and schedule are clearly defined and understood by the team

Present organized plans that clearly articulate the problem statement, the recommended solution, and milestones

Develop, monitor, and update action plans

Keep the team on track to ensure deliverables are met on time

Ensure all deliverables meet expectations and legal requirements

Responsible for communicating project updates to internal stakeholders in meetings and documents

Drive alignment by providing near, and long-term considerations and impacts, highlight recommended trade-offs and priorities, and balance risk and customer experience

Partner with the Data Analytics Manager to design, build and track key performance indicators and systems.

Develop and document standard work and procedures as necessary

Earn trust with stakeholders by learning about and understanding their business lines and products

When confronted with discordant views, drive the best way forward and build consensus

Skills:

Strong influencing and negotiating skills

Ability to act as an internal advisor are essential requirements for this position

Solid project management experience

Possess and demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively and on time with varying deadlines

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

3+years of experience in driving projects independently.

Trade Compliance experience is a plus

Strong written and verbal skills

Strong Excel skills

Team player
