Project Associate

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive candidate to join a prestigious organization in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have some experience running projects independently. This position is a contract role slated to run for 6 months with the potential for this role to go permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct project teams by providing communication, coordination, and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives
  • Ensure project scope or work and schedule are clearly defined and understood by the team
  • Present organized plans that clearly articulate the problem statement, the recommended solution, and milestones
  • Develop, monitor, and update action plans
  • Keep the team on track to ensure deliverables are met on time
  • Ensure all deliverables meet expectations and legal requirements
  • Responsible for communicating project updates to internal stakeholders in meetings and documents
  • Drive alignment by providing near, and long-term considerations and impacts, highlight recommended trade-offs and priorities, and balance risk and customer experience
  • Partner with the Data Analytics Manager to design, build and track key performance indicators and systems.
  • Develop and document standard work and procedures as necessary
  • Earn trust with stakeholders by learning about and understanding their business lines and products
  • When confronted with discordant views, drive the best way forward and build consensus
  • Skills:

  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to act as an internal advisor are essential requirements for this position
  • Solid project management experience
  • Possess and demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively and on time with varying deadlines
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 3+years of experience in driving projects independently.
  • Trade Compliance experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Team player
