Job Title: Workday HRIS Specalist

Location: Remote - need to be close to White Plains, NY
Salary: Up to $135K + Annual Bonus
Reports To: Senior HRIS Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Workday HRIS Integration Specialist with deep expertise in Workday integrations, security, and reporting. In this critical role, you will work closely with the Senior HRIS Manager and collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to deliver seamless integration solutions, enhance system stability, and ensure ongoing operational success. You will play a pivotal role in capturing business requirements, designing integration solutions, managing security configurations, and supporting key HRIS processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Workday integrations with third-party platforms (e.g., Active Directory, ADP, ServiceNow, Snowflake).
  • Security & User Role Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of user roles, security groups, and access controls within Workday to ensure secure and efficient access management.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with HR, IT, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, translate them into clear technical specifications, and deliver integration solutions.
  • Project Management & Delivery: Coordinate the delivery of new integrations, updates to security permissions, and enhancements to existing systems. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for integration designs, security configurations, and project status from inception to completion.
  • Security Access Controls: Evaluate existing security access controls, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend strategies for improvement to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • End-User Support: Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to end-users on integration and security access-related inquiries.
  • Upgrade Testing: Support semi-annual Workday upgrade testing, ensuring integrations and security configurations remain functional after each release.

Required Qualifications:

  • Workday Expertise: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations, security, and reporting in a post-production environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with Workday tools such as Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, Extend, PRISM Analytics, BIRT, etc.
  • Integration Experience: Proven experience building integrations between Workday and systems such as Active Directory, Aderant, ADP, Benefit Providers, ServiceNow, and/or Snowflake.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of Workday security model, including the creation of user roles, security groups, and restricted access.
  • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical skills and ability to devise creative solutions to complex integration and security challenges.
  • Business Requirements & Stakeholder Management: Experience in defining and documenting business requirements, process flows, and working with cross-functional teams to address technical needs.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and ensure successful project completion under shifting deadlines.
  • Education & Certifications:
    • Workday Pro Certification in Integrations, Security, or Reporting is highly desirable.
    • Experience with Workday Peakon or configuring other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Benefits) is a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience working in a law firm environment is highly desirable but not required.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of integration and security configurations.
