LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a VP Purchasing & Inventory with 7 years of experience for a full-time job, located in White Plains, New York. This is an excellent Direct Hire opportunity for those with a background in building materials, or construction.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, foster, and maintain relationships with key material vendors, ensure vendor service levels meet company standards.
- Explore and pursue new vendor lines in key regional territories as needed.
- Lead negotiations for vendor rebates, both on a company-wide scale and within specific regions, collaborate with the accounting/finance department to track rebates and deals.
- Utilize the company’s buying power to cost-effectively purchase items across the enterprise.
- Support the sales team with customer job buys and associated pricing.
- Ensure the HQ Buying and HQ Pricing teams follow best practices and provide value to the company.
- Influence both HQ and local branch replenishment via the buying SOP.
- Monitor companywide KPI metrics such as inventory levels, turnover rates, aged inventory, and minimum/maximum settings.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to utilize co-op funds effectively.
- Maintain and establish list prices and price levels in coordination with market factors and zones.
- Oversee the maintenance and setup of customer assignments to price levels.
- Communicate company-wide preferred product sales and prioritize certain vendor items.
- Communicate product information such as cost increases and design changes as needed.
- Work with sales to support product sales and associated gross margins by branch.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or related work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office- Excel- Pivot Tables/ Vlook Ups
- Background in building materials or construction required
Employment Type: Full time, Direct Hire
Salary: $250,000-275,000/yr
Pay Details: $250,000.00 to $275,000.00 per year
