We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager near Hastings, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a thorough understanding of AR processes, credit policies, and collections strategies. This role is key to maintaining healthy cash flow and strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, payment application, collections, and account reconciliation
Oversee and mentor AR staff, providing leadership, performance feedback, and process guidance
Monitor aging reports and implement effective collection strategies to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
Establish and maintain credit policies and assess creditworthiness of new and existing clients
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts in collaboration with sales and customer service teams
Prepare regular AR reports and dashboards for senior management
Ensure timely month-end close activities and accurate revenue reporting
Lead continuous improvement efforts in AR processes and systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive AR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
Strong understanding of GAAP, AR best practices, and financial reporting
Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and collaborate across departments
Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $53,000.00 per year
