The Buyer will play a crucial role in procurement and supply chain management, ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with electronics and graphic cards and will possess excellent analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and proficiency in Excel. Experience with planning, Epicor, and Power BI are advantageous. This role requires on-site presence five days a week.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Purchase Order Management:


    • Handle RFx processes and issue purchase orders accurately and promptly.
    • Update pricing information and review production scheduling to maintain efficiency.

  2. Vendor Relationship Management:


    • Negotiate with vendors and establish relationships with new suppliers.
    • Address purchase order modifications and communicate effectively with internal departments.

  3. Inventory Oversight:


    • Oversee inventory receipts of consigned material and finished goods.
    • Ensure proper reconciliation of inventory at contract manufacturers in collaboration with Finance's Inventory Control department.

  4. Supply Chain Coordination:


    • Execute MRP processes and analyze forecasts to manage inventory liability and ensure on-time delivery.
    • Investigate root causes of problems and resolve receiving/quality issues efficiently.

  5. Reporting and Analysis:


    • Generate category reports including open backlog, spend analysis, and GPU reports as needed.
    • Support Quarterly Business Reviews by collecting, analyzing, and presenting relevant data.

  6. Procurement Operations:


    • Maintain procurement-related part and supplier information in the company's ERP system.
    • Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to facilitate the procurement process.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of procurement experience, preferably in consumer electronics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of procurement strategy, sourcing, and supply chain management.
  • Self-motivated with a process-driven approach and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems; familiarity with Epicor is a plus.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interact independently with other departments and suppliers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
