Job Title: Patient Registration Specialist Location: Flint, MI 48507 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


LHH Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a client in Flint, MI, to recruit a courteous, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual for the role of Patient Registration Specialist. In this position, you'll be pivotal in ensuring a positive and efficient experience for patients during their registration process. Your duties will encompass greeting patients, entering data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, maintaining patient records, verifying insurance details, scheduling appointments, and handling telephone inquiries. The ideal candidate should possess at least 1 year experience within Patient Registration/Healthcare Administration.


Responsibilities:


  • Warmly greet and engage with patients, fostering a professional and inviting atmosphere to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Provide timely and effective resolutions to patient queries or issues, offering troubleshooting assistance as needed.
  • Execute data entry tasks meticulously within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, upholding accuracy and confidentiality standards for patient information.
  • Maintain and update medical records with meticulous attention to detail, adhering strictly to privacy regulations and upholding patient confidentiality.
  • Perform insurance verification processes as required, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Handle incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, furnishing useful information and directing calls appropriately.
  • Register patients for appointments and adjust appointment schedules under the guidance of supervisors or relevant personnel.
  • Exhibit efficient multitasking capabilities, seamlessly transitioning between various responsibilities as necessitated by workflow.
  • Foster productive collaboration with team members and healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of patient registration procedures.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in Patient Registration.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and data entry procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities, enabling compassionate interaction with patients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in data entry and record maintenance.
  • Demonstrated capacity to handle confidential information discreetly and responsibly.
  • Proficient multitasking skills, adept at adapting to shifting priorities and effectively managing time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification processes is advantageous.
