LHH is seeking a Payroll/Accounts Payable specialist for a client based in Franklin Park, IL. Ideally, we’d like to see candidates with at least one year of payroll processing experience. Previous use of ADP is highly preferred and international payroll processing experience is also a huge plus! This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary and benefits package. Title: AP/Payroll Specialist
Location: Franklin Park, IL
Position Type: Perm/Direct Hire
Worksite Type: Hybrid (1 day remote)
Salary: $60-$65k
Responsibilities:
Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems
Reconciles bank accounts monthly; processes invoices, obtain applicable approvals, and prepare checks
Create accounts payable disbursement files for checks, ACH and wires
Reconciliation of periodic payroll tax filings
Calculate state and federal taxes, garnishments, and benefit deductions
Review expense reports; reconciles credit card expenditures vs. statements
Ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately
Complete payroll functions for accurate preparation and processing
Collect and organize information, forms and paperwork related to payroll and checks information
Collaborate with other departments and vendors to resolve AP/Payroll issues
Process Accounts Payable & Receivable paperwork at completion of the check run
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Associates degree in accounting or related degree
Two plus years of relevant experience
International payroll processing experience is a huge
Familiarity with ADP software is highly preferred
Experience in working with different departments and cross-functional teams
Ability to work as a member of a team
Must have very good verbal and written communications skills
