Benefits Coordinator


LHH is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support our client remotely for a temporary position immediately. This position is estimated to go on for approximately 3-4 months and will be part time (25-30 hours/week). The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Benefits and will be available immediately.

Responsibilities


  • Determine the eligibility of employees for the benefit plan
  • Answer all employees' benefit related questions
  • Log requests in an Excel spreadsheet and update documentation as required
  • Educate employees about our benefits program to encourage them to enroll
  • Assist employees in the benefits program enrollment and benefit claims processes
  • Help the payroll department with deductions or changes to employees’ salaries
  • Facilitate the resolution process in case of any dispute between an employee and a benefits carrier
  • Maintain an accurate record of all employee benefits data in an electronic database
  • Uphold the confidentiality of each employee’s documentation and files

Requirements


  • At least 2 years of experience working in an Benefits related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field preferred
  • Expertise in HRIS and ADP preferred
  • Strong understanding of employment and labor laws
  • Solid knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, Medicare, and other state and federal regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel including Pivot tables and V-lookups
