Dr. Jason Malenfant to join Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) – June 27, 2025

LHH Knightsbridge is pleased to announce that Dr. Jason Malenfant is joining Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) as the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) effective July 10, 2025. Dr. Malenfant was selected following an open and competitive recruitment process led by the GEPH Board of Health, with support from LHH Knightsbridge.

 

Originally from Southern Ontario, Dr. Malenfant is excited to return home and serve the communities of Grand Erie. He brings a wealth of experience in public and preventive health, with a strong foundation in clinical practice and community health leadership. His appointment supports GEPH’s mission to promote, protect, and enhance the health of all who call Grand Erie home—through equity, service excellence, and innovation across urban, rural, and Indigenous communities.

 

Dr. Malenfant is board-certified in Infectious Diseases, Preventive Medicine & Public Health, and Internal Medicine. He most recently served as Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases at Marshall University in West Virginia and as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the Viral Special Pathogens Branch at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
