For our client in the industrial sector, we are looking to hire an Embedded Software Engineering Manager (m/f/d) in the Winterthur area.
Task of the candidate
- Spearhead the creation of integrated software solutions in close coordination with the Software Architect, Project Manager, international teams, and external collaborators.
- Outline work packages, assign tasks, and establish timelines.
- Proactively lead the execution and testing phases.
- Consistently provide updates and communicate progress to all stakeholders.
- Guarantee high-quality standards while ensuring efficient and prompt delivery.
- Oversee the Embedded Software Development Process, ensuring it is rigorously adhered to.
- Design and test embedded software for specific use cases.
Candidate Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree, or an equivalent qualification, in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in developing embedded software and leading embedded software projects within an industrial environment (this is essential).
- Proficiency in Scrum or other comparable agile methodologies.
- Extensive experience with modern C++ (C++11 or later) as well as Python.
- Strong expertise with ARM Cortex microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with embedded operating systems.
- Experience with digital communication protocols such as PROFNET, EtherNet/IP, ModbusTCP, IO-Link, or other similar fieldbus technologies is advantageous.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards like IEC62443-4 is a plus.
- Fluent English is essential; proficiency in German is an advantage.
