For our client in the industrial sector, we are looking to hire an Embedded Software Engineering Manager (m/f/d) in the Winterthur area.

Task of the candidate

• Spearhead the creation of integrated software solutions in close coordination with the Software Architect, Project Manager, international teams, and external collaborators.
• Outline work packages, assign tasks, and establish timelines.
• Proactively lead the execution and testing phases.
• Consistently provide updates and communicate progress to all stakeholders.
• Guarantee high-quality standards while ensuring efficient and prompt delivery.
• Oversee the Embedded Software Development Process, ensuring it is rigorously adhered to.
• Design and test embedded software for specific use cases.

Candidate Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree, or an equivalent qualification, in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in developing embedded software and leading embedded software projects within an industrial environment (this is essential).
• Proficiency in Scrum or other comparable agile methodologies.
• Extensive experience with modern C++ (C++11 or later) as well as Python.
• Strong expertise with ARM Cortex microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with embedded operating systems.
• Experience with digital communication protocols such as PROFNET, EtherNet/IP, ModbusTCP, IO-Link, or other similar fieldbus technologies is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards like IEC62443-4 is a plus.
• Fluent English is essential; proficiency in German is an advantage.
