Adecco Group's Work on Human Rights and Decent Working Conditions
At Adecco Group, we are committed to "making the future work for everyone." To fulfill this purpose, we offer employment and training to millions of people worldwide, ensuring that our clients have the talents and services they need to be successful and competitive. Our work has a direct, positive impact on these people's lives.
The Norwegian Transparency Act is a confirmation that this work is important. This law has been in effect since July 1, 2022, and aims to ensure that larger companies in Norway work to promote fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in their own operations and with their suppliers and business partners. The Transparency Act obliges us to:
- conduct due diligence assessments in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises,
- report on our work with due diligence assessments related to human rights and decent working conditions, and
- respond to information requests from the public.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals guide our overall work on sustainable development and social responsibility.
Our Risk Related to Human Rights and Decent Working Conditions
The Transparency Act requires transparency about our significant risks related to violations of fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. The law also requires us to report on the measures we implement to reduce this risk. The work with the Transparency Act will be an ongoing effort in the coming years, where both risks and measures will change in line with societal developments and the information we receive from, among others, our employees, suppliers, and customers.
