Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack (Rust / C++)


Location: Zug area, Switzerland (50% remote possible)


Start Date: Between July 1st and October 1st, 2025


Contract Duration: 12 months (extension possible)

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join a cross-functional team developing next-generation diagnostic technologies. This is a great opportunity to contribute to products that improve patient outcomes worldwide.


What You'll Do


  • Design and develop robust full-stack software using Rust and C++.
  • Lead and implement software development tasks from concept to deployment.
  • Contribute to software architecture, feasibility studies, and technical specifications.
  • Perform reviews, testing, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to drive innovation in diagnostic systems.
  • Ensure high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory processes.


What We’re Looking For


  • Degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven hands-on experience with Rust in a professional setting.
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and Rust core concepts (ownership, borrowing, lifetimes).
  • Familiarity with tokio, actix-web, serde, sqlx, or similar Rust libraries.
  • Strong experience with C++, Linux, and Docker.
  • Basic scripting skills and familiarity with RabbitMQ and CAN bus are a plus.
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture and interest in hardware-related software is beneficial.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices) is advantageous.
  • Proactive mindset, strong documentation habits, and excellent communication skills.
  • English fluency required; German is a plus.
