Our client, a dynamic geospatial startup, is at the forefront of innovation in the Remote Sensing & Big Datas. Dedicated to revolutionizing the utilization of geospatial data for actionable insights, they are seeking a versatile Business Developer to expand their market presence.
Workload: 100%
Location: Bern (flexible HO with some days at the office).
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Remote Sensing, Big Data, Consumer Data, Urban Planning, Public Administration, and B2B sectors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, private enterprises, and industry partners.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop tailored strategies and campaigns to promote our solutions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for growth.
- Drive the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.
- Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to geospatial data.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and expand the company's network.
- Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the management team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Geospatial Sciences, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Must have: experience within the geospatial sector.
- Strong understanding of Remote Sensing, Big Data analytics, and their applications in various industries.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in German considered a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
