Our client, a dynamic geospatial startup, is at the forefront of innovation in the Remote Sensing & Big Datas. Dedicated to revolutionizing the utilization of geospatial data for actionable insights, they are seeking a versatile Business Developer to expand their market presence.



Workload: 100%


Location: Bern (flexible HO with some days at the office).


Responsibilities:


  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Remote Sensing, Big Data, Consumer Data, Urban Planning, Public Administration, and B2B sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, private enterprises, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop tailored strategies and campaigns to promote our solutions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for growth.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to geospatial data.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and expand the company's network.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the management team.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Geospatial Sciences, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Must have: experience within the geospatial sector.
  • Strong understanding of Remote Sensing, Big Data analytics, and their applications in various industries.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in German considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
