Our client is a fast growing and successful Swiss start-up in the renewable energies sector.

Job description:

The core responsibilities of the role can be summarized in:

• Planning and design of the optimal photovoltaic installation for the customer’s premises. Customers are significant real estate owners or real estate firms that manage properties on behalf of them. Typically installations are on roofs of apartment buildings.
• On-site supervision of the installation of the photovoltaic modules, cabling, inverter, energy storage systems and smart metering devices, which are conducted by third party contractors
• Project management of the interconnection of the building’s ZEV (Zusammenschluss zum Eigenverbrauch) / RCP (Regroupement pour la consommation propre) with the local energy supplier.
• Handover of the project to the operations team, who would take over the management of the facility, selling and invoicing the energy to the tenants of the building. 

Candidate profile:

• Education in electrical engineering (federal diploma or BSc. FH/ETH).
• At least 5 years of experience in the electrical engineering field with at least 2 years of experience in a project engineering or project management type of role.
• Previous experience working with photovoltaic technologies would be a strong plus, but not an absolute must.
• Fluent French is mandatory and at least a proficient level of German is mandatory as well.
• The role will be based in Bern (city center, close to Bern’s main station) and the position requires up to 50% travelling, mostly to projects based in Suisse Romande.
