Our client is a leader in providing engineering and construction services for large scale infrastructure projects across globe. We are looking for a professional to provide support on current projects and new opportunities from a planning and programming perspective, to start AS SOON AS POSSIBLE or upon agreement.
Work location: Zurich
Home office possibilities: 1 day per week
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules using advanced scheduling software, with a particular focus on railway and motorway projects. This includes allocating resources efficiently, coordinating logistics, and addressing temporary works requirements specific to these infrastructures.
- Prepare detailed project schedules during the tender stage, ensuring seamless integration of procurement activities tailored to the unique demands of railway and motorway projects. Liaise effectively with engineering and other relevant disciplines to align schedules with project objectives.
- Provide diligent oversight for on-site program management of construction projects, prioritizing key issues and offering expert guidance to the site-based team as necessary. Emphasize the specialized considerations inherent in railway and motorway construction.
- Monitor project progress meticulously, tracking critical design and construction milestones specific to railway and motorway development. Conduct thorough analysis of actual versus planned performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
- Collaborate closely with the project team to devise effective construction methodologies tailored to railway and motorway projects.
- Engage proactively with the supply chain to inform project scheduling, taking into account the unique design periods, lead times, and resource requirements characteristic of railway and motorway projects.
- Evaluate and promptly communicate the impact of change notifications on project schedules, ensuring stakeholders are informed and adjustments are made efficiently to mitigate disruptions.
- Coordinate closely with cost disciplines to maintain accurate budget control and forecasting, integrating changes seamlessly into schedules while adhering to the financial constraints of railway and motorway projects.
Your profile:
- University degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Previous project experience with a focus on planning and project control (ideal from railway / transport sector).
- Essential construction site experience, preferably in the transport sector.
- PMP certification is nice to have.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6.
- Fluent in English.
