Department: Import-Export Administration

Our client is a leading company in the technical and engineering solutions sector, serving clients across Europe and beyond. To strengthen their supply chain and logistics operations, they are seeking a German-speaking Import/Export Engineer who can manage the technical and regulatory aspects of international trade while ensuring compliance and efficiency across borders.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the import and export processes of technical components and equipment You will liaise closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal departments to ensure smooth cross-border operations. Fluency in German is essential for handling documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage import/export activities for technical goods in compliance with international trade regulations
• Prepare and review shipping, customs, and compliance documentation (e.g. invoices, packing lists, export declarations, certificates of origin)
• Support internal teams (engineering, sales, procurement) with logistics planning and technical documentation
• Analyze and optimize logistics processes to reduce cost and lead time
• Monitor and report on shipment status, customs clearance, and delivery performance
• Resolve issues related to transportation, customs, or documentation

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Sales, Administration or similar
• Proven experience in import/export operations
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and international shipping documentation
• Fluent in German and good English
• Familiarity with ERP and logistics management systems
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
