Sales Manager South Europe (Utilities)
At LHH we are currently supporting our client, an international leader providing measurement, instrumentation, piping solutions and over-pressure protection devices for the natural gas and utility markets, including water, gas, and electric sectors globally. We are seeking a Sales Manager South Europe to oversee and develop the client base in Spain, Italy, Algeria and Mediterranean Sea, consisting in Channel Partners and OEM. Reporting to the Sales Director South Europe, based in France, your main responsibilities will include to:
-Maintain and grow relationships with key channel partners clients in Southern Europe, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
-Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, build a strong pipeline, and convert leads into long-term clients
-Understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to position products effectively in the defined region. Ensure the product portfolio is regionally certified
-Collaborate with the Sales Director to define and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the market
-Track sales performance, report forecasts and opportunities in the CRM
-Work closely with sales peers, product managers and sales admin team, based in Germany
-Regular travel within the region for client visits and industry events.
We are looking for someone with a technical academic background and experienced in technical sales or account management in the utilities sector or in the gas industry. You will bring a deep understanding of the region’s business landscape and will be responsible for managing relationships with existing Channel partners, driving new business development and identifying opportunities for growth. Therefore, it is important that you possess strong relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders, being a skilled negotiator with commercial and financial acumen. Demonstrable initiative-taking and innovative problem-solving abilities is important too. It is mandatory fluency in Arabic and English, other languages like Spanish, Italian or French are appreciated.
