At LHH, we are currently looking for an HR Officer for an international company in the industrial sector, recently integrated into a global group. The role is based in the Barcelona metropolitan area and supports the corporate functions of the organization at a regional level.
Job Description
The position is based at the company’s corporate office, which hosts a diverse team including senior executives, middle managers, specialists, and support staff. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing core HR functions, with a strong focus on payroll and HR operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordination and supervision of payroll processes (outsourced), including expatriate contracts
- Management of confidential executive payroll and employment documentation
- Support in recruitment and onboarding processes
- Oversight of employee lifecycle activities (contracts, onboarding, offboarding)
- Implementation of training, development, and employee engagement initiatives
- Working time and absence monitoring, ensuring compliance with internal
- Support in compensation and benefits programs
- Collaboration with HR teams in other locations to standardize HR practices across the region
- Ensuring compliance with Spanish labor law and internal global HR policies
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Human Resources and 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar HR Officer role within a corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Solid understanding of Spanish labor law and HR policies
- Good knowledge of payroll processes, including expatriate management
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Experience working with senior leadership and handling confidential information
Soft Skills
- High level of initiative and responsibility
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, international environment
Languages
- Fluent Spanish
- Fluent English
