The first six months of 2017 have essentially come to a close and now it’s time to pause and reflect on how the year has been going for you from a leadership accountability standpoint.
As I reflect on my own leadership role, the first six months of this year have continued at the same fast pace as last year. I’m pleased by the many meaningful outcomes achieved by my team.
There continues to be a lot of demand for speaking engagements. We launched our global leadership accountability study, experienced the expansion of The Leadership Contract and our leadership accountability solutions around the world. I returned to writing as well. I am putting the finishing touches on the third edition of my book and I also started writing The Leadership Contract field guide book which will accompany the original book.
At a personal level, I had the privilege of participating in The Adecco Group’s flagship leadership development program conducted in partnership with IMD, one of the world’s leading executive education business schools. I wasn’t leading the session, I was taking it as a participant. It was a great experience. As part of the program, I also completed a 360 process and received valuable feedback that confirmed my strengths, but also highlighted areas where I need to pay more attention to.

As for me, I’m now focused on taking a bit of a break this summer. My intention is to relax, re-energize and reconnect with my family and friends. At the same time, I will also focus on finishing my two new books.
Like I did last summer, I plan to take a break from blogging and will come back in September with more weekly gut check insights to help you become a more accountable leader!
