Responsibilities:

Join our client's dynamic finance team as an Accounting & Controls Manager, where you will play a crucial role in driving financial integrity and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:



    • Oversee compliance with internal control measures for the Wolverhampton unit, ensuring every process meets established guidelines.
    • Lead the annual assessment and testing of control designs, actively identifying and addressing control issues.
    • Collaborate with the central team to proactively spot and manage both reportable and non-reportable control issues, crafting and monitoring remediation plans as needed.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert on internal controls and corporate policies, overseeing the management and review of all related deliverables.
    • Prepare for internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of action items and effective communication of follow-ups.


    • In addition, you will:
    • Provide expert advice on technical accounting matters, preparing and presenting documentation, and conducting quarterly balance sheet assessments.
    • Facilitate monthly reviews for the central accounting and controls team, spotlighting issues, trends, deliverables, and training requirements.
    • Manage Quarterly Control Environment Representation (QCER) checklists, ensuring thorough reviews and quality checks.
    • Identify training needs and develop materials for global teams, delivering impactful training sessions.
    • Spearhead strategic improvement projects, assessing risks and developing comprehensive project plans to ensure timely delivery.

Essential:


  • Degree educated or equivalent.
  • ACA or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing or relevant client-facing roles.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to management and problem-solving.
  • Strong risk identification skills with the ability to develop robust remediation plans.
  • A questioning mindset to drive continuous improvement.
