Title: Commercial Associate Solicitor (2+ PQE) Location: Birmingham Salary: £65,000+ DOE.


The Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Associate Solicitor to join our Top 50 client's growing team. This position is ideal for a professional with over 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) who has a passion for consumer law and regulatory compliance. You will be part of a supportive, high-calibre environment that fosters professional growth.


As a member of their Commercial Group, your responsibilities will include providing expert advice on various consumer law matters, such as:



    • Advertising and Marketing Compliance: Guide clients on adhering to the CAP and BCAP Codes to ensure their advertising meets legal standards.

  • E-Commerce & Online Platforms: Offer insights on regulatory compliance for online trading, including e-commerce and website accessibility.


    • Consumer-Facing Terms: draft and review essential consumer documents, addressing issues related to unfair contract terms and transparency.

  • Global Consumer Protection: Assist clients in navigating international consumer protection laws, ensuring compliance across different regulatory frameworks.


    • Price and Prize Promotions: Aid clients with legal considerations for promotions, competitions, and prize draws, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation.

  • Regulatory and Enforcement Issues: Provide guidance on regulatory investigations and respond to consumer or regulator complaints.


    • Strategic Consumer Compliance: Advise clients on strategic compliance issues, identifying risks, and aligning with the latest legal developments.
