Job Opening: Accounting Clerk
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Pay: $18–$23/hr
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
We’re hiring an Accounting Clerk to join a growing team in Albuquerque! If you're detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy supporting both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, this is a great opportunity to grow your accounting career.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
Prepare and submit customer invoices
Code, post, and receipt incoming payments
Coordinate and process daily bank deposits
Perform account, bank, and reconciliation tasks
Monitor accounts for non-payment or delays and follow up as needed
Accounts Payable:
Verify and process incoming invoices for accuracy
Prepare payments for approval and signature
Sort, code, and enter accounts payable data into the system
Investigate discrepancies and follow up on unpaid invoices
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records
General Accounting Support:
Maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and supporting records
Assist with monthly financial reporting and reconciliations
Use financial data to research and resolve discrepancies
Track, audit, and replenish petty cash
Process and verify employee expense reports for accuracy
Qualifications:
1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks or similar preferred)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Pay Details: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour
