Accounting Specialist – Albuquerque, NM
Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
$50,000 – $55,000 per year
We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join a local team in Albuquerque. If you're someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and is looking to grow your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment—this could be the right fit for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Handle daily accounts payable and receivable transactions
Reconcile bank accounts and financial records to keep everything accurate and up to date
Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks
Help prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Maintain the general ledger and follow company accounting procedures
Support audit preparation and tax filings as needed
Work closely with internal teams to provide clear and timely financial information
Pitch in on other accounting-related duties as they come up
What You’ll Need to Bring:
At least 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar is a plus
Experience using tools like QuickBooks, SAP, or other accounting platforms
A solid understanding of accounting principles and attention to financial detail
Great organizational and problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently but also enjoy being part of a team
Strong communication skills—you’re comfortable asking questions and sharing insights
