LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a financial services company in Albuquerque. This company is looking for a bookkeeper to join their team. This job is fully in office, Monday-Friday and will vary between 32-40 hours a week.
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the overall financial health of the company. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Process and verify all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, including invoicing clients, processing payments, and ensuring timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a regular basis.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Support year-end financial audits and help with the preparation of tax filings.
- Maintain and update financial databases and accounting software.
- Respond to inquiries from internal teams, vendors, and clients related to financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
