Job Title: Business Intelligence Lead
Salary Range: $80k – $95k annually
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled Business Intelligence Lead to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role blends leadership, data engineering, and business intelligence to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. You’ll lead a high-performing team, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate cross-functionally to support enterprise-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Inspire and guide a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching to support professional growth.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training to build a resilient and agile team.
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex data and reporting challenges.
Data Engineering & Analytics
- Design and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Develop and optimize data models using Kimball methodology.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, SSRS, and other visualization tools.
- Leverage Python (especially pandas) for data transformation, statistical analysis, and automation.
- Create interactive data applications using frameworks like Streamlit.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all analytics initiatives.
- Maintain documentation for data sources, transformations, and business logic.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Strategic Reporting
- Partner with business leaders to deliver insights that support strategic goals.
- Develop automated reporting solutions to streamline decision-making.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for audits, compliance, and executive reporting.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence.
- Proven leadership experience in a technical or analytical team environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (Power BI, SSRS).
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and workflow orchestration.
Preferred:
- Experience with Streamlit or similar web-based data tools.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell.
- Background in regulated industries or environments with strict data governance.
