Location: Albuquerque, NM
Direct Hire | Full-Time | On-Site
LHH is partnering with a well-established construction company to identify their first dedicated HR Manager. This is a key opportunity for an experienced human resources professional to build, manage, and oversee HR operations for a respected, family-owned organization with a large field-based workforce.

Our client is a reputable leader in the construction industry, known for their extensive bridge and paving work throughout New Mexico. With over 140 employees, most of whom are in the field, they are seeking a bilingual HR professional to bring structure, compliance, and employee support to their growing team. The company offers a stable work environment, excellent benefits, and strong leadership committed to employee development.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary HR resource for the organization, overseeing day-to-day HR operations
Lead all onboarding, compliance, and employee relations efforts for both office and field staff
Ensure certified payroll processes are properly explained and understood by employees
Support talent acquisition efforts and collaborate with leadership on workforce planning
Provide coaching, training, and support to supervisors and managers on HR matters
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure adherence to company policies and employment regulations
Foster a positive work environment and promote clear communication across teams
Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
5+ years of broad HR experience, preferably in construction, trades, or other blue-collar industries
Experience with certified payroll processes strongly preferred
Solid understanding of HR compliance, onboarding, and employee relations
SHRM or similar HR certification preferred but not required
Strong communication skills and ability to build trust across a diverse workforce
Proficiency with HR systems and general office software
