Job Description:

As an Executive Recruiter with LHH, I am excited to present this opportunity for a Staff Accountant with 1-2 years of experience and a strong background in General Ledger (GL) accounting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and will be eager to contribute to the financial success of our client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the General Ledger (GL) and related financial statements.

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

  • Experience with General Ledger (GL) accounting.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
