Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Logistics Manager to join one of our clients in Alpharetta, GA. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials.
Oversee transportation planning, carrier selection, and freight cost optimization.
Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and customer service teams to align logistics with business goals.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
Develop and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.
Lead, train, and mentor logistics staff to foster a high-performance team culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
Proven experience with logistics software and systems (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Lean or Six Sigma certification.
Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
Familiarity with international shipping and customs processes.
Pay Details: $48.00 to $56.00 per hour
