LHH is looking to hire a senior accountant for an onsite role located in Alsip, IL. In this role you will contribute to monthly and annual closing processes, journal entries, data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and coordination with external auditors. This is a fully onsite role with a stable and growing organization.
Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close procedures.
Facilitate monthly close activities including accrual analysis and journal entries.
Analyze financial statement transactions to ensure accurate recording on a monthly basis.
Perform monthly account reconciliations.
Assist with financial and tax audits.
Support documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
Record fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation in the accounting system.
Establish and maintain controls, procedures, and forms for fixed asset recording.
Initiate vendor payments and assist with bank reconciliations.
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
Perform general office duties including answering phones, filing, copying, sorting mail, and preparing items for mailing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting or related field.
5+ years of accounting experience.
Strong data entry skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA
2-4 years of public accounting experience preferred.
Proficiency in SAP FI/CO.
