Medical Customer Service Rep – Alsip, IL

We are seeking patient-focused non-clinical healthcare staff for our client near Alsip, IL! Our client in the healthcare industry is hiring a customer service rep to support patients over the phone.

Overview:

· Hiring type: Temporary to hire

· Location: 100% onsite near Alsip IL

· Hours: Monday – Friday; 8.5 hour workday, 8am-430pm / 9am-530pm / 930am-6pm

Pay rate: $18/hour

Responsibilities:

· Supporting patients over the phone in a call-center environment

· Registering new patients, creating new patient accounts

· Insurance verification and data entry

· Closing patient accounts, responding to patient inquiries or questions

Qualifications

· 2+ years of Call Center customer service experience, for a healthcare company or environment

· Knowledge of updating patient demographic and insurance information preferred

· Reliable with stable work history

· Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, and able to quickly learn new software systems

· Strong communication skills and ability to type 40+ words per minute
