Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Altamonte Springs, FL. This role is 100% onsite and offers a contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume AP processing and will be part of a large-scale team.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Accounts Payable Processing: Handle high-volume AP processing, including matching purchase orders to invoices, entering invoices into the accounting system, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors. Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Payment Processing: Process payments through various methods including ACH, checks, and wire transfers. Ensure payments are made through the correct AP bank account.
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies. Reconcile accounts to bank statements.
  • Documentation: Maintain supporting documentation for all payments and ensure proper filing and record-keeping.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage technology solutions to automate AP processes where possible. Utilize accounting software and ERP systems for efficient processing.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Support internal and external audit initiatives for AP-related activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including adherence to safety guidelines.


Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
